Hmm. Made it back for a second day in a row. Not sure how often that'll happen but right now I've got to many things rolling around in my head to talk about to not post. Yeah, I know. Me talking a lot. Shocking.
Stayed up until nearly 2 in the morning last night. After coming home from a Dina Wakely class at The Creative Quest I was inspired to keep playing. Here's a look at the beeswax encaustic tag mini book I did.
My fingers were the loveliest shade of wild plum mixed with yellow & blue and waxy all over. And you'll notice my all time favorite chickie - Bette (pronounced Betty but spelled cooler) - highlighted in this. I had no idea she was a stamp. We used her image in the first art journaling class I did with Dina and somehow I just connected with her. Maybe it's the hands on the hips?? And Mel inadvertently named her. And she became my voice when I was art journaling. You can see my art journal pages here. I really need to update these as I've added to many of them and created more. Perhaps later. (which turned out to be 10 minutes later. figured I'd just do it while I was thinking about it. *sigh*) For now I'm happy looking at my little book, still seeing the colors on my fingers and looking forward to 2SGNO tonight. And plotting how I'm going to get the tools and supplies for encaustic beeswax past Mel as soon as I can find them............ :)
Your book turned out spectacular!!! :) Always fun to art with you.
