It's not very often that I'm able to play along with the Make It Monday challenges featured on Nichol Heady's blog. With today being a holiday I was able to play along. This week's challenge was to create a background with a non-background stamp. I chose to use the Tag It's #3 for my background.
I really like that circle frame and need to use it more. I stamped it in Olive green and added the tiny flower in Blossom Pink between each of the circular frames.
I also used the picket fence die cut and embossed it with the woodgrain impression plate. The flowers peeking out from behind the fence are from Flower Fusion #3 with stems from Flower Fusion #4. The "birthday" portion of the sentiment is from Wonderful Words Additions and the "happy" is die cut with Quickutz dies. A little seam binding, a tiny jewelry tag and some copper colored mini brads complete the focal image.
And as luck would have it, I have someone to send this to with tomorrow's mail. It'll be late since today was my mom's birthday but she's like me, and happy to get cards even if they're after my day. Let's me celebrate a little longer. :)
